Mountain Magic Compost & Manure Mix

Yard Care™ Compost & Manure Mix contains an ideal blend of organic materials that loosen soil for enhanced root health. Add to your soil of increased moisture levels and maximum nutrient retention. Use to condition heavy clay soils or to add organic matter to sandy soils. Combine Yard Care™ All Purpose Top Soil with Yard Care™ Compost & Manure Mix when planting vegetable gardens - especially good for growing robust tomatoes.
Directions and Uses
ROSES, TREES AND SHRUBS
Prepare a hole that is twice as wide as the same depth as the root ball. Carefully place plant in hole without disturbing the roots. Backfill around roots with mixture of 1/3 Yard Care™ Compost & Manure Mix, 1/3 All Purpose Top Soil and 1/3 existing soil until hole is 3/4 filled. Compact soil to prevent air pockets. Fill hole with water and allow it to soak in. Do not tamp down after wetting. After water is absorbed add sufficient soil mixture to fill the hole.
New Lawns: Mix 1 to 3 inches of Yard Care™ Compost & Manure Mix into the top 6 inches of soil Rake, Seed, roll and water (See fig. 1)
Established Lawns: Top dress with1/4 inch Yard Care™ Compost & Manure Mix. Work in with back of rake. Repeat as needed. (See fig. 2)
For Spots: Work in 1/2 inch of Yard Care™ Compost & Manure Mix with grass seed. Firm and water.
Mix 1 to 2 inches of Yard Care™ Compost & Manure Mix into the existing soil For best result add 1 to 3 inches of Top Soil into the soil (See fig. 3)
Cone Bearers: Follow procedure outlined for Roses, Trees and Shrubs.
Broad Leafed: Backfill with mixture of 1/3 Compost & Manure, 1/3 All Purpose Top Soil, and 1/3 existing soil.
Forest wood products and composted manure.
