Sombrero® 'Tres Amigo' (Coneflower)
Coneflower. Shows three colors at once! Flowers open to peachy-coral, then age to rose and fade to burgundy!
Echinacea Carefree color from a profusion of 3 in. across, vibrant hot coral blooms that will add excitement to the summer garden. A must-have for the butterfly or cutting garden, this drought-tolerant perennial was bred for cold hardiness and compact form with prolific flowering over an exceptionally long season. Remove spent flowers and cut back the stems to encourage further blooms and reduce self-seeding. Deadheading will help them grow and thrive.
Excellent as a cut flower. However, keeping some dried flower heads on the plants in fall will provide food for wintering songbirds. An herbaceous perennial. Planted in mass, the cone-shaped flower heads provide quite an attraction to butterflies, hummingbirds, and everyone else.
