This plant tolerates some drought and wetness. Suitable soil is well-drained loamy sandy or clay with a pH preference of acidic to alkaline.
Pest tolerant good for naturalizing attracts birds hummingbirds & butterflies suitable for cut flowers that will last for 5-6 days. It can be used as a border plant or in containers.
Considered mostly allergy-free.
Smaller compact Butterfly Bush reaching 4 to 5 feet tall and wide at maturity.
Purple flowers are borne in 4 to 8-inch panicles from mid-summer to frost. Perfect choice for mixed borders and beds. Deer-tolerant.
