Picea abies Nidiformis 'Nest Spruce'
A candidate for rock gardens, where it spills nicely over boulders and dry stone walls.
This versatile, dwarf conifer is an excellent choice for an evergreen border, accent or container plant. The outward-curving branches with dense, dark green needles create an interesting bird's nest effect. Its tight, compact shape requires little maintenance. Very hardy and wind-resistant.
Slow growing. This is a carefree spreading conifer with bright color that adds welcome contrast to darker shrubs. A good low plant that won't obstruct the view from elevated home sites. Ideal filler between upright conifers and broadleaf trees.
Water regularly - weekly, or more often in extreme heat or containers.
