Setcreasea pallida 'Purple Heart'
Succulent houseplants are popular plants for window sills, brighten desks and other indoor spaces where you can show them off. Great for weddings! Protect from frost.
Stunning purple, lance-shaped leaves on vigorously spreading stems are accented by small pale purple flowers. Dies back in cold weather then vigorously returns in spring. Heat and drought tolerant. Great for low maintenance areas, rock gardens and mixed borders. It cascades nicely over the edge of a hanging basket. Evergreen in mild winter climates.
Water regularly - weekly, or more often in extreme heat or containers.
Succulents are FAR more likely to survive under-watering than over-watering. The thick fleshy leaves will appear wilted and a bit “under-full” when they need water.
Dry soil is necessary. Succulents should be potted in a fast-draining mixture that’s designed for cacti and succulents. Modifying basic potting mix with approximately half potting mix to half Perlite or Vermiculite.
Perfect as a houseplant.
