Crisp flesh and firm skin makes this variety ideal for pickling. Produces medium green, 5-6″ fruit on a prolific vine. Homemade Pickles was developed especially for home canning and pickling. Vigorous plants with good disease resistence and generous yields. Harvest these solid, crisp cucumbers at finger size for sweet pickles, or larger for dills and spears.

Cucumbers grow best when direct sown after last spring frost when soil has warmed to 70°F. Prefers rich soil, but will produce well in almost any garden with full sun. Start transplants indoors five weeks before last frost date.
Cucumbers have shallow roots and need consistent watering for best production. Feed monthly with compost or fertilizer.
