FoxTail Fern

Foxtail Fern, Protasparagus densiflorus 'Meyeri'

Foxtail Ferns produces arching two foot 'fronds' of dense light green needles, creating the illusion of a pack of upright fox tails. Tiny white flowers in the summer are followed by bright red berries in the fall. Foxtail Ferns are very similar to Sprenger's Asparagus except the growth habit is much denser. In the garden they will grow 2 ft. tall with a spread of 3 to 4 feet.

Our Foxtail Fern is a beautiful accent to any room or patio area! This plant will add nicely to a tropical landscape or can be used as décor for your home. Foxtail Ferns can also be planted seaside, as they have a moderate salt tolerance.

Plant in a lightly shaded area to best avoid the afternoon sun in hotter areas. Morning sun exposure is okay. If your plant is inside, make sure to give your Foxtail Fern bright light. This fern will need humidity if you are growing indoors.
