A compact, deciduous climber with large, satin-white flowers, 6" across.
Initially striped green, and adorned with a flourish of burgundy-red anthers. Flowering comes in two waves: first in late spring to early summer, then from late summer to early fall. Vigorous and free-flowering, this showy large-flowered clematis is useful to add light to the gloom of north-facing walls and dark corners. Ideal for pergolas, arbors, and trellises.
Best performance is when the tops are in full sunlight and the roots are shaded, so apply a generous mulch or a shallow-rooted ground cover near the base of the vine.
