A hardy semi-dwarf evergreen Azalea that blooms profusely with dark red, non-fading flowers in the spring. Has small leaves and forms a dense mound reaching 2 to 4 feet tall and 3 to 5 feet wide. Deep glossy green leaves turn bronze in the winter. They perform best in moist, fertile, highly organic and well-drained soil that is slightly acidic. Native soils higher than pH 7.0 should be amended with organic matter.
Needs regular watering - weekly, or more often in extreme heat.
