Crassula capitella 'Campfire'

Succulent houseplants are popular plants for window sills, brighten desks and other indoor spaces where you can show them off. Great for weddings! Protect from frost.

Description:

Never let your Crassula sit in water! Also known as 'Blaze' or 'Flame'. Crassula capitella ‘Campfire’ is a branching succulent plant with fleshy propeller-like leaves that mature from light green to bright red. Grows prostrate, forming mats about 6 inches tall and up to 3 feet wide. Clusters of white flowers rest on the leaves in the summer. Overwatering is sure to be fatal, so err on the side of too dry rather than too wet. If you water from beneath by letting the plant sit in a saucer of water, make sure to pour off any excess water after a few minutes. Do not over-water. A light misting of water with a spray bottle once or twice a week is adequate for most succulents.

Succulents are FAR more likely to survive under-watering than over-watering. The thick fleshy leaves will appear wilted and a bit “under-full” when they need water.

Dry soil is necessary. Succulents should be potted in a fast-draining mixture that’s designed for cacti and succulents. Modifying basic potting mix with approximately half potting mix to half Perlite or Vermiculite.

Perfect as a houseplant.
