Straight cylindrical fruits. Grow on bush-type plants.
(Heirloom) Produces late spring into fall. Baked, broiled, fried, steamed, grilled, pickled, and even made into bread. Use raw with dips and in salads. Freezes well. Early blossoms may not produce fruits until male blossoms (with long stems) open and begin to pollinate.
