DESCRIPTION
Avoid stepping on the "toes" of this plant. It belongs to the Aizoaceae family (also known as Mesembryanthemaceae), which includes mimicry plants that blend in with their surroundings. The finger-like leaves grow in clusters, with each leaf having a transparent window at the top that filters harsh African sunlight for photosynthesis. In their natural habitat, these windows are often the only visible part of the plant above the quartz sand. Bright light is necessary to prevent the leaves from stretching. While somewhat frost resistant, it is recommended to protect the plant from potential scarring. This plant is perfect for potted arrangements or multiple plant displays.
