Bright, dainty flowers start to bloom in late spring or early summer on wiry stems above attractive mounds of fuzzy foliage. Brilliant flowers are beautiful in the garden or in early season bouquets. Blooms late spring to summer. Likes some middle of the day shade in hotter climates. Attracts butterflies. Deer resistant. Divide every two years or so in early spring or fall. Shear spent flowers and foliage to encourage new growth. Good garden texture and form.
