'Blue Twins' Holly (Blue Prince and Blue Princess)

Ilex x meserveae

Blue Twins Holly is a combination of Blue Prince (male) and Blue Princess (female) Hollies that are grown along-side each other for an outstanding and prolific berry production. Large, dark blue leaves and blue stems form a natural pyramid roughly 12 feet tall and 9 feet wide. Exceptional color, shape, and cold hardiness.

Every Princess needs her Prince, especially if you are a holly bush which needs a male pollinator to produce berries. A single bush, so that you can have beautiful red berries for the festive season. These hollies are much more winter hardy than common holly. Now almost everyone in the country can harvest their own festive holly branches, laden with berries, even from the smallest garden.

Thrives in average, well-drained soil; avoid poorly drained, wet sites. Water deeply, regularly during the first growing season to establish an extensive root system; reduce frequency once established.
