Crapemyrtle 'Hopi' (Medium)
Lagerstroemia indica x fauriei 'Hopi'
Clusters of pink crepe-like blooms on this semi-dwarf shrub with attractive, peeling bark.
One of the most winter hardy selections from the National Arboretum. Hopi is a heavy bloomer with pink flowers and has good disease resistance. Blooms in the summer. It matures at 8 to 10 feet tall and wide.
The brilliant yellow, red, or orange fall foliage sets the landscape ablaze. Superior specimen or accent. Especially attractive in groups. Water roots deeply, particularly in dry spells, but avoid wetting the foliage. Plant in a protected location and apply a winter mulch. Deciduous.
