Mexican Feather Grass
Nassella tenuissima
A tall, graceful, clumping ornamental grass with silvery flowers on thin, bright green foliage in late summer; moves in the slightest breeze. Flowers appear among dense green foliage in late spring. Southwest native, among the finest textured of all ornamental grasses. Combine with rocks or bold textured companion plantings. The slender, weeping leaves are silvery-green and turn golden bronze in fall. The flowers are white fan-shaped plumes in fall that extend above the foliage. Heat tolerant.
