Purple 'Passion flower'
'Passiflora Incense (fragrant)
This fast-growing deciduous vine is considered to be one of the hardiest passion vines, surviving to an impressive zero degrees Fahrenheit. This elegant Passion Flower will die to the ground in preparation for the next warm season.
Flowers arise in Spring and continue with a dazzling display of exotic-looking, deep purple blooms through the Summer months. The 3-4" flowers aren't just nice to look at; they also give off an intoxicating aroma that attracts butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds. A fragrant, tasty fruit follows the blooms.
Passion Flower Incense appreciates well-drained soil with plenty of sunlight but isn't overly particular when it comes to climbing. It can be found happily blooming along the ground with a deep root system. Super easy to grow and very cold hardy.
