Tomatillo 'Green'
Physalis ixocarpa Heirloom (Indeterminate)
You will need two or more tomatillo plants for the blooms to be pollinated and fruit to be produced.
Produce 2-3 inch round fruits with a tart citrus flavor. The appearance of a tomatillo (to-ma-TEE-yo) with its papery husk is quite different. In fact, it is also known as a husk tomato, due to the dry cover that surrounds the fruit. Plants produce about a pound of fruit over the season. Use in Salsa recipes.
Harvest: Pick fruits when papery husks begin to split and turn from green to brown.
