'Super Blue' Lavender
Lavandula angustifolia
Old favorite English lavender! Lavender is actually a low-growing shrub.
This strain has grey-green foliage with rich, deep blue flower spikes appearing on short stems. Excellent winter hardiness and heat and humidity tolerance. Prune lightly in early spring, no harder than 4 inches. Lavender MUST have good drainage in order to avoid root rot problems. Consider growing in a raised bed or rock garden. Used for culinary & fragrant.
